Young in Beirut, he paints birds, suns and moons, winged dancers, sails over deep blue seas.

At school he draws frogs, rivers, mountains and drifting continents.

Although he embraces the world of Biology, he keeps painting and exhibits in the seventies

in galleries in Scotland, where he studies, and at the Museum of the Vatican.

In Lebanon the war rages.

He travels further away, reaching Los Angeles where he majors in  Theater Arts.

He creates there a series of short films, synchronizing images to original texts and music: Remember Lebanon, The Lady in Black, Fog, So Far Away from Ruby Lane, Ole and the Tree, Architecture Tomorrow...

In the 1990’s, he writes the lyrics of Symphony V, composed by Titch  Pleasance, and directs “Been in the Storm so Long”, a musical based on interviews conducted by the United States Federal Government with ex-American slaves in the thirties (House of Blues, Los Angeles, 1995).

In 1998, Michele Lamy of “Les Deux Cafes,” a sensational cabaret in Hollywood, asks him to create an orchestra to play on Monday nights.

He does, and the singing follows in a series of performances, bringing an eclectic and romantic repertoire to the Los Angeles music scene; Ferré, Baudelaire, Barbara, Piazzolla, Cadicamo, Buarque, Jobim and others.

His collaboration with musicians like Ron Anthony, Georges Barbar, Carlos Cuba, Motoko Honda, Danny Naim, Marco Tulio Pinheiro, Andres Valdes, Heather Yonker and Richard Young results in the creation of songs and the recording of albums such as Mar, In my house, Shiratori, fi layla, Si le vent, Chant de nuit, Saher, and Robotico.

He cherishes these collaborations as they bring a deep joy of being; music.

In 2014 he invites Andres Vadin Valdes, Carlos Cuba and Johnny  Sandoval

to form the Canto Vagabondo music band

No Líbano a Guerra continua.

Remember Lebanon, The Lady in Black, Fog, So far away from Ruby Lane, Ole and the tree,

Architecture tomorrow, Russian Constructivist Architecture.

série de performances no Deux Cafés, House of Blues Los Angeles e Rocco’s.

Sua coloboração com inúmeros músicos (Ron Anthony, Georges Barbar,Carlos Cuba, Motoko Honda, Marco Túlio Pinheiro, Andres Valdes, Heather Yonker, Richard Young) gera obras originais que encontram-se em Saher, Mar e outros Cds

Rives

Rues

Bruissements, crissements, talons

Cri des marchands des quatre saisons

Grimaces, senteurs, lumières, et chansons populaires

Rires, soupirs, pleurs, insultes, discours politiques, processions

Barbara, Dalida, Ella, Mina, Maria Callas, Nina Simone, Françoise Hardy…

Me tiendront compagnie.
